Hello, I am curious if there are any built in programs that would allow me to partition off some of the unsed HD space I currently have? Or... Are there any programs that would let me do this safely without harming any of the stuff I already have on my computer?

Thanks.

i dont have no mac's
you should be able to do that through disk utility with no problems.

general consensus around here is usually that there is no major benefit of partitioning a drive, os x manages it quite well so there is no need for the occasional 'need to reinstall the OS without needing to reinstall all my apps again'. but go for it if it is what you need to do, wont hurt a thing.

If you plan to keep the existing OS this solution would be BAD! Use disk utility to partition drives on a fresh install. Not an existing.
