Okay all -- got a new footpedal and that seems to have solved the footpedal operation problem but the old problem still exists: When I plug in the footpedal i have to choose whether I want to connect it to my mac or parallels. I choose the VM, because that's what I use it for. When I go to the external devices option in the devices menu, it's there, but when I check it to use it it disappears. I have to reconnect the footpedal and then the footpedal will be checked and I can use it. Same for my usb sticks. Either the MV will not see it, even if I've chosen it for the VM from the devices window that appears when a new external device is detected. I have to disconnect it and then reconnect it, and then It only says "storage device" checked. I think i had this problem with version 10 as well. It seems to me that there is a bug in Parallels that's preventing this. Anyone else having this problem. Even when I leave the devices in the usb ports and restart the machine, parallels doesn't see them. I have to disconnect and reconnect it, and in the case of my usb drives not even the mac sees it when the VM is shot down and restarted. When I tell the VM to automatically connect certain external devices to the VM (in the configure option of the devices menu) it doesn't do that. I have to disconnect it and reconnect it to the usb port to have the MV see it. This is very frustrating.
