Yes, but we're talking SMD's or Surface Mount Resistors here. Not recomended unless you're VERY good with a soldering iron. Try looking at XLR8Yourmac.com

There are no jumpers on the iMacs. You can get processor upgrades but that's an expensive step. I got a 466mhz G4 for my rev D. The big jump up from the stock G3 was limited by the system bus etc.
