A huge thank you! I did exactly what you did and if I hadn't found your post, I would have still been panicking! I tried rebuilding the identity but there was no identity when rebuilt - Outlook was just as empty when I reopened it. Thankfully I scrolled down the page and found your post and it struck an immediate bell - like you, I had been doing some housekeeping and deleting or moving old folders in Documents. I had no idea what the Microsoft User Data or RDC Connections folders were, but thankfully I just moved them rather than deleting them. I thought nothing of it until I quit Outlook later by mistake and found it empty when I reopened it. I had been dumb enough to accidentally delete my whole inbox years earlier, so I immediately thought I'd done something like that again! You are a lifesaver! If you hadn't shared your moment of stupidity, another stupid person like me would not have found a solution to my problems! So often we get the really technical answers that make us think "oh no, I am going to have to pay someone to fix this mess!" when in fact it was fixed in seconds very easily once I knew what I'd done wrong! I was surprised that something so small could have such catastrophic results! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
