I updated my computer to Jaguar OS X but am having a few troubles. I have decided to try downgrading to OS 9, is it possible?

Apparently it's turning 9's into ('s.
hehe
Nah. Shift + 9 = (. At least on us qwerty keyboard. He typed 'OS' in capital and apparently didn't release shift before he pressed '9'.
Sorry, bit off topic.

I'm don't know if downgrading is possible, but you can always format your HD and do fresh install. Do you have something you can't afford to lose on that HD and can you make backups?

regarding panther

Hi, I just upgraded from mac OS 9 to Mac OS X Panther also. Are you on one of the original ibooks? Because when I first installed on my blueberry ibook mac os x panther, it gave me a few problems. But all I had to do was go to software update & after updating to Mac OS 10.3.2 (no charge) everything worked fine! Maybe that'll help your problem
