I'm tryin to set up my os x mail with gmail, however I keep getting the error that pop.gmail.com is not responding. I have gone to gmail can enabled pop. I'm sure it's that I don't have the ports open that it needs to use and to do that i need to go to the preferences, but as soon as i start mail i get the welcome to mail window where i set up my mail account and every thing is ghosted out including the preference menu. So I can't access it please help.
