Just a thought. The MBP has 4GB of memory and a HDD. I noticed that 15 process were killed due to insufficient memory. Also several apps have crashed. There seems to be an app using a lot of CPU time - com.apple.WebKit.Networking. This is a process associated with Safari and webpage validity checking. If you have a lot of webpages open that could be the reason. I would be curious to see how much swapping is going on in the Activity Monitor under memory. Anyway, you might be seeing the effects of not enough memory (4GB is low, 8GB is better) and possibly a failing HDD - although I am not ready to say that is the issue. If you were to install an SSD drive that would help speed things up as they are much faster than a mechanical HDD. You would also get a boost by adding memory. Lisa
