Orange Dot Near Battery Indicator on iPhone & iPad?

Ever since I updated to 14.0, I have notice a orange dot next to the battery indicator in the upper right corner of my iPhone and iPad Pro. What does it indicate? Thanks teqmter

Orange and green dots in the right upper corner indicate whether the microphone or camera, respectively, are being accessed by your device - this may relate to apps or services being used, but could be activities invading your privacy? More information HERE - let us know the cause which may help others. Dave :)

The orange dot will also appear when you're on a phone call and you have the phone's speaker turned on. This is new with iOS 14.

Another "feature" for folks to get paranoid over.
