I wish to simply remove the bottom plate of my MacBook Pro to blast out some dust that may of gathered there, but before I do, I was wondering in doing so, would I lose my Apple Care Warranty doing this?

Thanks in advance.

Well, since you can open the computer up to install a new HD with out voiding warranty.. I dont see why opening it up to dust the fans would be any different.

But in all honestly, I've had my MBP for over 2 years and i recently opened mine to install a new HD and my fans were not that dusty. I could have probably blown some air CAREFULLY though the back vents and cleaned it out.

Good luck.

Thanks, Rep added too. I fee more confident now in opening it up. Its just that it is quite dusty where we live, and my old Windows based laptop was always getting blocked up, and I found myself having to clean the single fan every month.
