Open Office vs. NeoWin?

Can anyone offer a newbie thoughts on the pros and cons of Neowin versus Open Office? As a Windows user, I've been a loyal user of the latter, but my understanding is that Open Office does not (yet) run natively on OS X. How big a difference does that make? And how does Open Office compare to Neowin?

I think that you are referring to Neo Office.
NeoOffice is hands down the best MS Office alternative on the mac. It is open office, but it looks different and works better.

Open Office did come out with a beta for Mac which doesn't use X11 but it's so buggy it's not worth using.

My advice : Try NeoOffice.

Agreed. I actually use it more often than MS Office. I find the interface to be better organized and more Mac-like.
