Online advertising

Hi, I'm a relatively new Macbook user and I just started to get browser enabled online advertising. I have no idea how this happened and need help to remove them please.

It would help a bit to know exactly what kind of advertising that you are dealing with since each type sometimes needs to be handled differently.

If this is the result of some malware that has been picked up download and run Adware Medic

You might also look for Adblock Plus and Ghostery. I don't know which browser you're using but I think these exist for all the major browsers.
