Hi,
I am not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here it goes anyway: a local acquaintance has a 12" mac powerbook, 867 MHz Power PC G4 with 256 MB of DDr SDRAM, the machine is running OSX tiger, she brought it to me to completely wipe it clean, the thing was so slow you would think someone had poured molasses in it. Make a long story short I simply did a complete erase and reinstalled Tiger, got the most recent update for her on line and now it runs fine. She wants to get sell this laptop, how much do you think it might be worth? If the price for this 4 year old machine is not too outrageous I might decide to get it for my daughter, her 11th B-Day is coming up.
I would appreciate any and all opinions.

That PowerBook never got a real chance with that amount of RAM in it. 867 MHz G4 with 256MB to run Tiger? Ouch!...

And if she wants to get a decent price for it, she should add RAM. Anyone knowing what they are doing with this possible purchase know they'll have to add plenty of RAM to this laptop to make it usable.
