Office for Mac problems.

Two possibilities come to mind.
One is that you're looking at a spreadsheet that depends on external files. If that's the case and you don't have the external files, then it wouldn't work regardless of Mac vs PC (assuming this was a different PC from the one used to create the spreadsheet).
The other is that you're looking at something dependent on Visual Basic. The current implementation of VB in Excel for Office for Mac 2004 isn't fully compatible with VB in Excel for Office 2003 [for PC].
