I've got a standard 13-inch Mid 2011 MacBook Air with the following specs: 128GB, 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory, Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB (MC966xx/A). As you can see from the photos I've linked further down this post, I've got some odd pixelation going on with my screen when I tilt it. It starts out with horizontal lines and slight distortion that runs across the screen, and then moves into complete pixelation and color change and switches from horizontal to vertical lines running up and down the screen. This whole sequence takes about three or four seconds. After releasing the screen with my hand, it sometimes goes immediately back to normal, but more recently has been refusing to do so and I've had to keep toggling it in order to look for an angle that creates no distortion. This is a problem I've had for almost a year, although I've never had any other issues with the computer. I'd also note that I've noticed the problem gets worse when I walk somewhere with it in my backpack and take it out (i.e. requires toggling for a longer period of time in order to get it back to a normal, functional appearance). Photos: MBA 2011 issues - Album on Imgur I've had a number of tech-savvy friends look at it and gotten various suggestions on what the issue is, and basically everyone has thought the issue was something different (screen, motherboard, logic board, graphics card, graphics cable, etc.). Looking for advice here on what the problem might be and how much it might cost to fix (also what kind of residual value a computer with this issue might fetch on Ebay, elsewhere). Appreciate the help! tl;dr: screen problems on computer, look at link for photos, brief description of problem.
