I just wanted to say hi. I've used macs in the past for work, but never had one for a personal machine. I was in the market for a laptop and decided to go with a mac book pro. It comes tomorrow. I can't wait. Already have all the apps I need ready to go. I may not even use my pc desktop anymore lol. ;)

Congrats!

I think the Macbook Pro is easily the "best looking" laptop. I'm sure you're enjoying it even at this moment.

If youre refering to mine, it is a 256mb x1600. I have a Core Duo model. Mine was the most recent $2500 model before being replaced by the core 2 duo models.

By the way, What is 609 and 610?

The 609 and 610 are abbreviated model numbers for the MackBook Pro 15.4 inch units. Respectively, MA609LL/A is the 15.4 inch MacBook Pro C2D with 1Gb RAM and the 128Mb X1600 GPU; and the MA610LL/A is the same except with 2 Gb RAM and the 256Mb X1600 GPU. I don't recall if the 610 has a larger HDD or not.
