Ok ok! After years of hammering away on a PC I've finally seen the light and got a Mac, a nice new shiny iMac 20" to be precise and I'm loving it if I'm honest.

So, there's lots of things to get used to, new key strokes, different way of installing (which is sooooo sweet) so my head is spinning a bit.

I've used the search to try and find the answer to this with some success but I'd just like to clarify a couple of things.

This is the set up I've got on my machine. Two profiles, one for me, one for the missus. We've got a big old library of music that we've ripped on our old PC and we want to bring it over and share it between us.

Initially I just let iTunes import the files off my external HD into my music directory and found that the wife couldn't see them (not a good move). After poking around with the search here I found something about the Shared folder in the MacHD>Users folder. So, being the cautious bloke that I am I moved one album into the Shared folder, deleted that entry from iTunes and re-imported it. Everything seems to be fine from my end, I can see artwork and play the tracks. When I log in as the wife I can see and play the album but I can't seem to see the artwork. Does anyone know how I can get the artwork to be visible from both profiles?

Thanks!

Hm.... what if you keep the PC as a music server? Get iTunes on the PC and share your library from there. Then on the Mac, open iTunes and you should see the PC's shared library... Oh, are they networked?

Hmm, nice idea but the PC's going to my Dad. I built the PC to be whisper quiet and his sounds like a Jumbo Jet landing so it's an act of kindness really. I've got a couple of external drives that could do the same job but would that solve the artwork problem?

You can keep the source of tha audio in an extrenal drive. But I don't know what that does to the album art.
