I had a low battery warning for my Bluetooth keyboard which continued for weeks with the keyboard still working fine. Eventually, the batteries did fail and I had to replace them. It seems the warning is far too early, resulting in batteries being thrown away with a lot of life left in them. My Magic Mouse (the rechargeable one) has never given me a warning yet. Admittedly I have not had it for that long and only charged it twice. The difficult part is that whilst the keyboard is back up and running very quickly, because of the location of the charging port the mouse is useless whilst being charged - so it would be helpful to get some advance warning that it will need recharging :)
