No associated application could be found error message?

2011 Macbook Pro
I installed Mountain Lion on my 2011 MBP yesterday. When I go to click on a link that i get in an e-mail or a link that is located on a page, I get this message, No associated application could be found. Any idea what is going on,and how do I fix this?
