Newton II in January? Dvorak thinks so...
November 10, 2003 - 07:56 EST In an article on PC Magazine's Web site, John C. Dvorak postulates that Apple may once again enter into the handheld PC market -- remember Newton? "There's good reason to believe that a jazzy new Newton II will be forthcoming, perhaps in January," notes Dvorak. "I also suspect a convertible laptop." Apple certainly has given no indication of this, and Dvorak doesn't quote any sources for his opinions, but it is an interesting article nevertheless, with an area where readers can provide feedback.

My Comments: It's possible.. Im just not sure though. Jobs has said and keeps saying that it's a market he does not want to get into, and that there is no future there.. then again maybe he's going to create a hybrid PDA that the market does really want.. hmm....

Yeah i see the iPod as more of the newton II, than anything else.
I see:
iPod larger screen, more disk space, more buttons for hand held operations, possible touch screen (lose durability though.. unless they keep the cover), color, external audio speaker.
