I think if any kind&nbsp; of laptop is getting that hot you have problems, this case has the least obstruction of any cover on the market, even the bed of velcro raises the base the same hight as the original feet, so thats why it stays so cool.And as far as the two beds of velcro holding it to the base, I have banged it as hard as i dare on the side, does not move, even turned it upside down and tried to make it come off the book base, did not even move, the lid opened though.And I have found that I can even access all my ports on the side and close the lid still charging, seems to work well, can't do any of that with a bag or cover. I have even made one for my iPad, works great, everyone thinks it a book until I open it.
