New Macbook Pro CPU at 80 degrees celsius

Hi guys, my recently bought macbook pro cpu has been getting to temperatures of around 80 degrees celsius. Im not doing anything CPU intensive just email and safari. Im watching a flash video in safari which pushes it up to 80 but when i stop watching it it goes down to 66. Should i contact apple support about this? the laptop has good ventilation nothing blocking it plenty of air able to get to it. I mean i expect to be able to watch flash videos without busting my laptops CPU on a laptop that costs about £900.

I don't have a pro, but mine is a 2.4 core 2 in an aluminum unibody.

When I really push mine it gets up to 170ish so thats about 80 C.

Right now mine is running at 155 F or 68ish C running safari, itunes and some other small stuff.

It's fine, don't worry.. that is normal when watching flash.
Macs are designed to be able to cope with these temps, and if it were to get too hot, it will shut down (as a safeguard) to save the board from frying.
You will notice the same temps if you talk on skype video for a while.
I have used this Macbook for over 2yrs with these temps spiking when watching flash, on skype video chats, or just running multiple music recording/editing software, etc, and never had a problem.
You will find many threads on this...
What I do advise though, is just before the end of the 12month warranty, purchase Applecare so that you have another 2yrs warranty and you can rest easy and enjoy your Mac.

It never ceases to amaze me that people continue to believe that Apple didn't think about the cooling of their machine when designing it.

As for Flash causing such a runup of temperature ... hey, you now have some real insight into why Apple doesn't like Flash very much, and why they don't put it on the iPhone/iPad. Who wants a handheld that's too hot to touch?

Yeh ive been thinking about saving up for apple care. Lol and if we're honest apple doesnt have the best track record for thinking about cooling. I mean look at the old macs that had no fans because steve didnt want them to. I just thought 80 degrees was strangely high compared to the temp i normally get on it so i thought id inquire. Other than that its a brilliant notebook and I love how solid the alu unibody case makes it feel.
