HI all,
I have a macbook with a 60GB SATA 2.5 Internal HDD. I've just bought a 160GB of the same. I would like to get my data off the original laptop, onto the new HDD, and then install the new HDD (I think I know how to install it). Does anyone have any ideas how to do this? I dont have an external HDD, or one of those housings SATA to USB2. I've got a couple of PCs knocking around in the house, and the Macbook, that's about it. Thanks for your help!

Your Mac's Specs
MBP 2.4/2GB/200HD/256 8600gt
u can reinstall osx on the 160, and just use a thumbdrive/dvd for your files.

or you can spend 15$ and get a usb external sata enclosure off ebay.

id go with the 15$ if u have a lot of files

the easiest way by far is to get an external enclosure and clone the old HD using Carbon Copy Cloner.
