I just purchased a new G5 1.8 with a GeForce FX 5200 running Panther. I have an 17" Apple Studio Display (last one before they went to flat) ADC connection and a Gateway VX900 (19" CRT - VGA) connecting through the supplied DVI display adapter. When the mac boots up it recognizes the Gateway monitor without any problem but the Apple monitor has power but is a blank screen. I tried hooking just the Apple monitor up and I have the same problem. When I click on the Display preference in the menu bar it actually says the kind of Gateway monitor with a list of resolutions but for the Apple monitor is just says "display" with the only resolution of 640x480. Has anyone experienced this problem?
