Mac Book
Hello to all here on the forums. I have a problem. I recently purchased a Mac Book. I have a desktop that I have a new HP Photosmart C 4400 series printer attached to. My desktop has the newer Vista OS with sp 1 on it. I can not get the Mac Book to accept the Vista OS on the desktop and print. I've followed all instructions that I've found on the internet about such problems, and have not been able to get it to work.
I would dearly appreciate any help at all with this matter.

Eric, I'm sorry but I'm not sure what Bonjour is and how it would help me get the Mac to recognize the printer on my vista os. If you could possibly help me to understand this, I would surely appreciate it. Thank you for your reply here.

cwa, am sorry for asking a question about how to setup the Mac Book to use a printer from a different operating system. New to the forums and did read your Rumors and Reports, but failed to understand. For this I apologize. I will try to find the thread that my question is applied to. Thank you for not deleting or whatever from the forums.

No need to apologize, just want to make sure you understand the structure of our Forums. Your thread is in the right place now. If you look at the Mac-Forums home page, you can see that it's divided into several forums on different topics. I've moved it to the "Hardware" forum, and more specifically, in the "Other Hardware and Peripherals" subforum.

Thank you cwa. I have found my post here, but I have not noticed any replies/responses to my question as of yet or I am still not understanding the way the forums work.
