I need the advise or suggestions from someone with the same experience. Since about 10 days ago I have been having a lot of connection issues. I am connected to a cable modem through a d-link dir-655 router. My connection issues are mainly with my iMac, but are also happening less often on my Macbook. I am having no connection issues with my Windows Vista laptop or my XP desktop. Prior to 10 days ago everything worked fine. I did upgrade the iMac to 10.5 and purchased a Time Machine back up drive. The drive is connected directly to the iMac via firewire. The Macbook is running 10.5 and was working fine prior to 10 days ago. I am receiving 'not connected to the internet' messages in Safari, Firefox, iTunes and Entourage. This only happens sometimes. There is no rhyme or reason when it starts. I also receive 'cannot find server' message in my browsers. I can be on the internet with no issues for a while, then out of the blue it will start. It will only effect one or two web pages at a time. Typically the apple home page or my home page cox.net. I have also seen it effect yahoo and even this page earlier tonight. If it happens there is nothing to do, but restart the computer. I have tried adjusting the settings on my router, but nothing seems to help. I have also connected to iMac to the cable modem directly and it does seem to work. Although, I don't know what would have happened if I had used it longer. Does anyone have an idea or suggestion. BTW - I am running Parallels on my iMac and I can access the same exact web sites through IE using my Parallels shell. I have been able to get to these web sites at the same time as Safari or Firefox is telling me I have no internet connection.
