Need to get mail from old to new

Just bought a powerbook and I want to get my mail off my desktop G4 OS 10.2.8 to the new laptop without having to forward it all.

E-mailed this: What I would do is network the 2 and transfer the e-mails to a file that can be shared then to the mail folder you like in the new computer Mac sharing is very sweet!
