[QUOTE="jaidsmom, post: 1778232, member: 397037"] I installed the driver from the HL2280DW onto my iMac running OS 10.6.8. Then I went into System Preferences>Printers&Scanners>Add Printer. Clicked on the + sign to “add printer” and the MFCL2240D showed up in my list WIRELESSLY! Then, to make sure it worked I tried printing from a web page, Quark 8.0, and InDesign CS4 and the MFCL2240D showed up as a printer and printed perfectly from all three programs. I was even able to change the printer default settings from 300 to 600 dpi in the print settings dialog box. I have been working as a graphic designer on a Mac since 1988 but now only do 2 freelance projects per year, so it’s not worth it for me to buy a new iMac running the latest OS for $1200. I’m working now as a teachers aide to special ed autistic children and qualify for an educational price of Adobe Creative Suite, but I’d still need to upgrade my Quark 8.0 and MS Office Mac. Since I’m trying to save for retirement and have twin boys in college, every dollar counts. I must say that Brother tech support was very helpful in guiding me through the process of syncing my wireless printer with my home router. They also helped me install the new printer and driver on my College sons laptops which are running OS 10.11! The funny thing is that my sons don’t really have much of a need to print anything. All their college coursework is submitted, reviewed and graded online. But as I said, I still do two big print freelance jobs every year, plus often print out labels and flyers for my school and classroom, so inexpensive B&W laser prints are still necessary for me.
