****Need iMac G5 buying help!!!*****

I was checking through my local classifieds online through the newspaper and saw a G5 for sale, just need some help to see if this is a good deal! Thanks guys/gals here is what he/she wrote


i Mac G5 OS X with 20 inch screen, 1.8 GHz Power PC processor, 256 MB of DDR SDRAM, 160 GB hard drive. Includes a Lexmark printer, Maxtor external 80GB hard drive, and bluetooth adaptor. It has Microsoft 2003 word, excel, and power point installed. It has internet explorer and email, and Mac email. It has both a connected keyboard and mouse and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Selling for $750

it seems like a good deal to me, but just wanted some help

that does sound like a good deal. it is an older i mac..it sounds like it was one of the first imac G5's that came out. you would need to upgrade the memory to be 100% happy with the machine but other than that i dont see much wrong with it. Give the guy a call and ask if you can see the machine..make sure it runs well..

That is a good deal. The only thing is use the machine yourself to see what it's like and if you like it. Only thing: upgrade the RAM to AT LEAST 512.

It does seem like a really good deal even without all the extra's. You could probally buy it and turn it around on eBay and make a couple hundred on it and buy an even better iMac from what you would get from the sale.
That is just what I would do.
