My Photoshop Elements has suddenly stopped working

I am using an i MAC 10 osx and Photoshop Elements 11 suddenly stopped. Should I uninstall or would I lose my stored pictures

OS X does not really tell us what operating system you are using, however if you mean Yosemite OS X.10, make sure you update to OS X.10.3. Also have a read of this link about deleting .plist files before running P.E. in Yosemite.

Photoshop has stoppd working

Thanks for your reply. I am not using Yosemite but osx Lion. My i MAC is from 2010.
Can you put what I should do in simpler terms as I am not too savvy about how to fix this.

I am using macOS Sierra, version 10.12. Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 crashes when I try to print. How can I fix this or do I have to get a newer version of Photoshop Elements?
