Did on my iMac (2008) an update for Ilife...Now no program works anymore...As well as my printer HP Photosmart 2575 All-in-One.
So now I bought a new MacbookPro with Sierra.

But who knows were to find the printerdriver?:\ Is somebody out there who can help?

It is a shame to such a good working device to go to a shredder. Only due to some software thing ...

Please HELP

Did you look at the HP website?
Did you try anything? If so, what was it?
Is the printer wireless? Or, is it USB?

Thx to answer. I looked at the site. It is out of date. And not wireless, but via the network

I'm not sure I understand your problem correctly but the HP Photosmart 2575 is still currently supported at least for printing with Apple's support and listed under "Photosmart 2570 series":

Give these directions a try. I know they are for a different printer but the procedure is the same.

Adding to Slydude's advice, it may also help to remove any existing printer in your System Preferences or use the Reset Printing stuff option and then start from scratch.

Thxs a lot, but I am so sorry, I am BLOND. what do I need?

Hair color shouldn't matter but maybe start here and enter your model :
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

EDIT:
What a stupid site!!! They don't even provide support for specif models it seems. Stupid!!

Google did get me to their site where they list the "2500 SERIES" but not really the 2575 model;

But try this starting at the topic:

http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/si...x.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

Then start here:
How do I install drivers with Apple Software Update?
http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/...Locale=en_US&docId=emr_na-c04473034#Apple_ASU

It seems the drivers are supplied via Apple Update.

Good luck.

Patrick, you are an Angel. It all works!!!

Glad to hear and thanks for the feedback.

I can't believe how badly HP's support pages are done and their lack of proper find option for specific model numbers. :(

Hi! I have had the same issue after updating my mac to Sierra OX my hp laser jet not responding. Without having to pay HP for consult, I don't think the software is compatible with the update.
El Capitan seems to be last operating system it's compatible with? Have you heard anything regarding this?

Course it will work. Do as Patrick suggests. Go into Printers & Scanners, select the printer and hit the little (-) box. Then connect the printer via USB, switch on and hit the little (+) button and your printer will be added. Simply a matter of re-connection.

Yes. I was on the phone with apple for almost 2 hours trying to get it work. I do not have the usb cord that goes with the printer, but we tried everything else. She told me to go through HP, but it costs!

So get the USB cable. Problem solved. You can go to Salvation Army, Savers, Goodwill, they will all have USB cables for $1.00.

Any USB cable will do the job. it does not have to be the one that came with the printer. Most computer users will have simply dozens of them.

I can't even recall the last time any printer supplied any cable with any purchase. But a good valid comment that many may not realize.

BTW: The last time I setup a new Canon wireless printer, I disregarded all Apple's suggestions and directions of using a USB cable and used some browser software to setup the AIO printer and it worked better than any previous printer setup.

Maybe HP and others have similar software that works as well.

PS, Edit:
Here's an interesting additional bit of info:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkje...p-photosmart-2575-printer-wireless/td-p/93513
and more via:
https://www.google.ca/search?client...+setup+wireless+HP+Photosmart+2575+All-in-One.

And add the fact that one can create a wireless printer using the old free handyprint software but now commercial I believe.
