Hi all

I'm kinda new to the mac in general, and so I'm hoping there is something simple I am doing wrong. In a nutshell, dashboard doesn't work.

I have tried:
1. logging in and logging out
2. restarting
3. setting a hot corner
4. changing the hotkey

None of this has worked. Basically, nothing happens when i hit F12. No widget, no overlay, no plus sign, nothing.

Is there some system setting I should be tweaking? Did I accidentally disable it? The dashboard icon is in my dock, and it does have a small indicator triangle below it...it just doesn't do anything.

Anyway?

Well their are programs such as MacPilot where by you can disable it (like I have done), I think that would be the obvious question.

Do you have any applications that changes settings of your Mac Interface or Settings beyond the usual?

Honestly, I don't know. i don't think so. But maybe I'll try macpilot to see if it thinks the dashboard is disabled.

MacPilot determined that the dashboard had somehow been disabled...but it's all good now :) Thanks for the tip! Still don't know what disabled it, but I'll watch out for potential causes now.

Well glad it's resolved, either way.
