Hi new to this forums, can any one help as I have a word 2013 document with dropdown boxs with content produced on PC but when transfered to M/S word on the iPad the drop down boxes are unusable ( stating this document has certain edit capabilities that have been locked)
I don't belive I have added any restrictions on the original document and need this function on the iPad anyone have any suggestion or other alternatives
Thanks Scott

Yeah... unfortunately Microsoft's generosity is not exactly what we thought it was when they gave us a "free" Office for iOS. Unless you buy a license for the full version, Office for iOS is crippled. Of course if you purchased an Office 365 subscription then you have full edit capabilities just as you do with your Windows version of Office 2013.

Hi this is a problem with the free office but this is the purchasedl M/S word version on the Ipad, not sue if the original software (M/S word)on the PC used is activated could this restrict its use on the Ipad.
These document work fine on other Mac and PCs just issues with Ipads!!

Word (Office) on a PC or Mac is not the same as Office on the iPad or iPhone. I have Mac Office 2011 and Windows Office 2010 but that's not a license to use the full version of Office on my iPad and iPhone. As stated before, if you have purchased a full Office 365 subscription then you have full edit capability on your Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone. If you have any further questions about this I suggest going direct to the Microsoft forums. LINK
