Hey All,

I've had a macbook for about 4 months. I really love it. BUT... I do a lot of design and also work in ArcGIS via Parallels. For this amount of time on the MB, i'm thinking about trying out a 15'' MBP. the main appeal is the larger screen, better graphics card (although don't know if i will tell a diference in ArcGIS?), and slightly faster processor. Anyone out there have a MP and then upgrade to a 15'' MBP? Was it a good move? Any opinions would be helpful.. thanks.

I am a graphic design student and I have a C2D 15" MBP and it runs the whole Design Premium Suite like a dream plus Final Cut and all my other programs.

The new Parallels 3.0 is supposed to have more graphics support.

I am a picture perfect example, if I do say so myself.

I bought my 13" MacBook in July of last year, and upgraded in January of this year to my MacBook Pro. The increase in performance (as if I needed it!) was astounding.

I write code, and the extra screen real estate is a God send for having multiple files open and next to each other.

Now all I need is OS X Leopard to keep my work seperate from my play!

I had a MP and upgraded to a MBP for a couple reasons:

Bigger screen
More professional looking

If nothing else, these were most important for me. Of course there is the dedicated video card and backlit keyboard which are nice too.

I don't regret my switch at all.
