I am trying to upgrade from 10.13.6 (HS) to Mojave but I immediately get a message that my Mac Pro needs a firmware update. After performing the update my Boot ROM version has not been updated. It remains MP51.0085.B00 and I can't get past this message saying I need a firmware update. Apple support is telling me that it may support Metal but it's not on their list of compatible cards. They told me to get a 580 which is on the compatible board list. It just seems odd that this firmware update requirement would be caused by an incompatible video board. Below is some information from my "About This Mac" screens. Mac Pro (Mid 2010) Processor 3.46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon Graphics Radeon RX 480 8192 MB Metal: Supported, feature set macOS GPUFamily1 v3 Anyone familiar with a similar problem? tia
