Misc. mac stuff for sale

I got some old mac stuff here I have no need for. $15 for each item, the two batteries will be sold together (not $15 each, $15 for both)

Mac Powerbook 12x CD-ROM Modue (model # M4149)
Two Powerbook 30-watt battery (model # M4915)
Powerbook G3 Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery (model # M4685)
PowerBook G3 45W AC Adapter (model # M4402) (year is 1998)
2 copies of AppleWorks 5 in the box (one opened, one in shrinkwrap)
2 copies of adobe photoshop 5.5 *upgrade* (both still in shrinkwrap, upgrades, not installs))
a USB floppy drive
Mac OS 7.6 CD version in shrinkwrap
Mac os 8.5 opened, but in excellent condition

the two 30-watt powerbook batteries look like they go to the older pre-g3 models, wheras the G3 bettery i have looks like it goes to the newer pismo/wallstreet laptops.

I'm thinking about selling the beige G3 powermac i have. i think its a 300mhz processor (ill confirm this after the OS finished installing). it has a 9Gb hard drive, zip drive, no cd-rom, and a floppy drive. the 9gb hard drive is connected via a PCI scsi card. it has an empty slot and an KDE cable to go with a cdrom, which isnt there.

i'm also considdering selling the b&w g3 i have, as i dont have time to see whats wrong with it anymore, so i'd rather just get rid of it and not let it sit in the basement. its a g3, 400mhz, no ram, default HD i put in the beige G3, so i put the beige one in here (4gb), has a zip drive and a cdrom drive. since the beige HD is in here, it has a failed os 8.5 install, so it wont boot from the HD, so i can include another IDE hard drive with this one, about 6gb.

make offers for the g3 computers, and ill see if i want to fix them up or just sell them. these are my only macs (sadly). im looking to get a mac mini maybe.

-edit-
eh, what the hey, ill just post here again.

these arent macs, but you may be interested in using them, as i have no need for them. I have 4 dell Optiplex GXi computers (all of them work and boot) with the following specs:

350 Mhz pentium 2, 64 MB Ram, 4.3 GB hard drive $15
(2)400 Mhz pentium 2, 128 MB Ram, 4.3 GB hard drive $20
266 Mhz pentium 2, 64 MB Ram, 4.3 GB Hard drive $10

All these computers include ethernet cards, video cards, sound cards, cd-rom and floppy drives. All these systems boot up to a windows login screen, where I do not have the password to login. I can install linux on them if you want, specify distro or let me choose the best for you. I know shipping will be a lot for these items, so im not asking for much. if you want to buy them all for $35, ill give you a hub and some network cables, just in case you're into making renderfarms as a hobby or something.

Will accept trades
you can PM me, but i'd prefer email at [email protected]

im not sure whats wrong with it.
http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=128547#post128547

thats all the info about the problem. what it could be is i dont have an official os x cd. i downloaded it via torrent to see if i could use it to format my hard drives, i had no intention of using os x (which is why i didnt buy the cd officially). i thought linux would install once os x had formatted the drives. the official Mac OS cds i have wont work because it needs at least 8.6. so maybe if you had a live linux cd that runs from the CD and requires no HD, it will be fine. maybe it just needs a ROM flash or something, im not sure.

im not sure how much i'd sell the b&w for, maybe $50 plus shipping, maybe a little more.

-edit-
i should mention, if you buy something from the list, and it doesnt work, just send it back and ill refund your money within a month.

alright, as far as i know, apple support has told me the b&w just needs a new pram battery, which will cost $6 + $3 shipping to replace. so it works as far as i can tell. i can sell it for $100 since that's about the price im seeing on ebay.

About the Beige G3.
Would an internet card work with it?
Is it possible the run Tiger/Panther on it?
Does it have USB/Firewire?

Really that's all, I know nothing about macs so sorry. I'm willing to make an offer depending on those answers.

How much would it cost for some more memory, and the upgrade? I have a local store here called the mac shack...Would it even be worth it? I would need to be able to run Itunes, AIM, and the internet. Occasionally things like word.

Thanks for the welcome :)

It would make a good starter computer for U!!!

It uses PC 66 ram. It is not too expensive and is fairly easy to come by.
check out this link: http://www.comtread.com/comtread/pc66sdram.html. You can also buy the ram from http://www.newegg.com. If you wanted to U could go see your local computer shop and ask them. As for the firewire/usb check out http://macsales.com There U can choose the G3 and find all sorts of upgrades for it.(they have a firewire card for only $10!)

You will be able to run ituns, aim, and internet explore or netscape.

Lastly try appleworks for the typing program.

Good luck!!

If U want the g3 i will not stand in your way :)

yeah, the g3 may be too slow as-is to run panther. it doesnt have firewire, but it does have an ethernet card, which i dont think is working right. theres an add-on pci ethernet card in there which does work. as it is right now, it works on the internet with internet explorer 5 i think the version is. it browses the net just fine. im not sure about aim, because i havent tried it on the beige.

it has 3 ports for ram, and its running at 266mhz if i can remember correctly.

for the beige probably just $40, since shipping is going to be really expensive.

it doesnt have a keyboard or mouse though, but i can provide an ethernet cable and a power cable if necessary. it doesnt have a cdrom drive, but it can take any IDE hard drive, and i might be able to throw one in if i dont sell that 5th dell computer with no power supple.

Hmmm, if you could would you PLEASE save it for about 2-3 days? I would like to check at my local mac store here and ask some questions.

will do.

i might add, its loaded with a bunch of misc. software. the previous owners ran a newspaper, so it has the following software:

adobe illustrator
adobe streamline
adobe pagemaker
adobe photoshop 5.5 and 6.0
indesign
MS word
multi ad creator
quark XPress 4.1
and of course, IE and netscape

i was going to reformat the drive and reinstall the OS, but i figured if i had interested people for buying it, i'd just leave it. maybe you people can use the software, which i know stuff like photoshop and quark are worth quite a bit.

im not sure its a pram battery, as its my first mac since the pre powerpc macs. if its not the pram, its something that can be easily replaced, motherboard are about $30 on ebay.

the dells are still here, ive gotten some responses from other people about them in which i replied to via email, but no one has yet to reply to my reply, so they're still here for the time being.
