Minor but annoying mail problem

Your Mac's Specs
iMac 21.5 9/3/10 OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 Firefox 26,0 iPad, iPod Touch
Lately I receive duplicate email about one week later than current mail.
Where should I start troubleshooting? Mail? browser? OS?

Running Apple mail version 7.3(1878.6)
Mavericks OS ver 10.9.5
Desktop Mac
What say you?

Check with your mail provider first. Sounds like a problem on the sending end.
