Does anyone else think Apple should lowe their prices on the Mac Mini. Personally I think they're too exspensive for what they offer. The're not exspensive per se, but for whats given isn't enough for it. Because once you start to upgrade your system it ends up to be around 1k. That means, upgraded ram, hard drive, keyboard/mouse. By then I'd rather get the base iMac!

Mac Mini's are awsome machines, but I feel they're a bit too pricey. :dummy:

the people who the mini is targeted at don't need 1gb and have keyboard/mouse/monitor

Minis aren't expensive. Maxing them out with all the possible upgrades you can is what ends up being expensive.

If you have to upgrade the machine to the maximum, then you probably weren't really in the market for a Mini to begin with. :black:

Like you mentioned, if you are going to spend that much then the iMac would be a better choice. A better choice both financially and computer-wise for you.

I have said this before but will post it again. I feel that Apple should come out with the $499 Mini once again, put in a Core Solo if they have to, but that was a good price point for first time Mac users who want to try OSX. My G4 1.25Ghz Mini at $499 was a great deal. Except for the 256 Megs Stock RAM.

I agree dtravis7. I bought my first Mac Mini as soon they came out. It was my very first Mac machine and I loved it right away. Bought it based on size and price. Very easy to use, etc.

I just purchased a Macbook as my wife keeps kicking me off the PC (no loss). Spent all night converting all (some of) my PC stuff to Mac formats last night. Loving the little book for now. I also think the base Macbook is a great deal for the price.
