well the macs are dual channel. so right know there are 2 256MB ... which makes up the 512MB that it comes with. If you want 1 gig you have to buy 2 512MB sticks so that it works ....
My boyfriend has the same macbook and he upgraded it to 2 gig and there is a huge difference. But it all depends on what work you are planning on doing with your computer.

oh and using windows with paralles

If you're going to be frequently running Windows inside OS X i would suggest 2gb. Both OSes are ram hungry and you will quickly max out 1gb.

Have G4 Powermac 800mz/38g hardrive
Getting error message "startup drive almost full, please delete"
I have new Lacy 160G set to transfer files....never done this before.
1.Moved large APPs I-tunes,I-movie,ProTools, to Lacy. A friend said I should only have moved files, not apps.
2. Cannot access them from desktop now, and full error message still appears. 3. Cannot burn data to disk to free up, as no memory left on hard drive....help?

Newbee to extra hard drive transfer.....
