Memory Upgrade Macbook Pro, mid 2012, 4 GB to 8 GB

Want to buy memory for macbook pro 13", 2.5 GB. Book says can only upgrade to 8 GB. Where to buy memory that does not cost a ton???

The Mid 2012 MacBook Pro that's listed is a 13" model. Maximum memory and type which you need is:

Maximum Memory 16 GB (Actual) 8 GB (Apple)
Memory Slots 2 - 204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM


We generally recommend Mac Sales (OWC) or Crucial as the best places to buy memory for your Mac. However, Amazon.com sells Crucial memory for less than you can buy it from Crucial direct. Try there first. Make sure you buy the correct modules.
