memory question?

I am buying a 15" PB for college. It will be used for Digital Arts, hence the reason im goign with a mac. However i need ot keep my costs down and was wondering what is reccomended for memory?

Will the 512MB get me by? Or should i go with the 1GB? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Get a much memory as you can afford. Also get it from a third party, it will be cheaper.

i was just gonna buy it from apple.com which it already with it.... should i get 512 then get another 512 from 3rd party?

If if comes with 512, then I would get the additional 512 memory stick from a 3rd party.

you are better off getting the lowest amount from apple and just getting all the memory upgrades yourself to get it up to what you can afford
