I'm looking at buying a new 15" MBP, and would like to go to a SSD but the capacity is so small. I have a lot of music, music videos, etc that I have stored on my current MacBook. I have a 1TB external hard drive I use with time machine. How does a person go about saving/accessing data on an external drive on a regular basis? I've never done it before so I don't know how it works. Is it going to be a hassle? Any good links out there for this situation? Thanks.

If you store your music and videos in iTunes you can always move your iTunes library onto an external drive. Here's an article for that. Transferring your iTunes Library | iLounge Article If they are not in iTunes and just folders, you can simply move the folders onto the new drive.
