This is a MBP 17 "unibody 2008/09, bought used.

It worked well at first and some times it stopped spontaneously (rare). The battery held for hours.

It is always connected to the mains:

7 days ago, the battery has remained at 43% (according to display) after 2 days 16% and 0%. His green lights flash 4 times.
I disconnected the battery,

At startup, it appears at the bottom a progress bar for 10 minutes and then stop everything. It appears under the spinning wheel under the black apple, all in gray screen.
Startup impossible. Access impossible.
...

Good ideas?
Thank you to orientate myself.

Do you have the Install Disks for that MBPro you could try using to boot from?

If so and that works, then you've got something goofy with the installed OS.

His green lights flash 4 times…

What does this mean? What lights flash 4 times?

At startup, it appears at the bottom a progress bar for 10 minutes and then stop everything. It appears under the spinning wheel under the black apple, all in gray screen.

What is "it"??

It is the progress bar, that appears in the beginning.

Here is a possible explanation for why you're seeing the progress bar:
