well i filled my 60GB up in less than 1 week after getting it on ebay

So..

I kinda made an impulse buy and got a 120GB ata-6 5400rpm made by WD
its all the same interface and specs as my 60 just well, bigger

did i go too big will it not be able to handle it?

Are you working with huge files? video/animation/graphics? With those you need the space. It's overkill you're doing no more than word processing. Think about it this way - you won't have to delete anything :)

not really working with huge files i just eat up a lot of space, my music is about 10GB I have adobe photshop, acrobat pro, and Studio MX, prolly the biggest thing i do is burning DVD's 4.7GB a pop

my question was more gauged to is it possible to put 1 in there?

Do we need the 50" plasma TV? nope but it sure is nice (wish i had 1)

Any hard drive of the size/ interface will be fine. The AlBook's are all pretty good about hard drives...
