Since I've upgraded to Panther 10.3.2 I have had MAJOR problems when trying to burn CD-R's & DVD-R's. First off the machine won't recognize most DVD-R's...even the same ones that it used to under Jaguar. I picked up Toast Titanium, but that seemed to just make everything worse. Under iTunes when I try to burn a music CD-R I put in a blank CD-R and it tells me that I have inserted a DVD. I can still burn CD-R's but NOTHING acts normally now. Before when I put in a blank CD-R it would show up on my desktop, then disappear after I clicked on "burn CD" it would then re-appear after the completed burn as whatever I chose to name it. Now when I click burn, the blank CD-R image remains on the desktop, and the newly burned disc image appears upon completion of the burn so now I have TWO disc images on the desktop. I can drag the burned disc to the trash to eject it, but when I drag the blank image to the trash, it asks me if I want to burn the disc, but there IS NO DISC to burn! I have tried deleting the CD Info.cidb prefs, but nothing seems to help. PLEASE HELP ME! -Jeff :( 17" flat panel 800 iMac
