I deleted 'Archive' in mailbox, OSX 10.9.5 not knowing it was ALL my mails. The restore with time machine goes back to 2010 BUT omits the last three months. Time machine shows sometimes 6000 entries other time 7500, but will not restore the latest three months?

Restoring mail and mail folders using Time Machine is different from a normal restore. Here's what you have to do:
1. Open your mail program and leave it open.
2. Now enter Time Machine and click on the date you wish on the right side (pink date). Time Machine will open in mail and you can then restore your missing mail and folders.
