Did I miss something? Mactracker is no longer being updated. I really like that app.

@Lisa:

Get the App Store version. It's free and is updated after new models and devices are sold by Apple. I'm not sure why the straight developer version is no longer being updated.

As Bob says, EveryMac.com is another great information place for Mac info.

I have the App Store version on my MB Pro and iPad. Neither have been updated for the last 6 months. It does not show such devices like the new Mac Pro or Apple Watch 5 etc.

I just wondered if I had missed the memo and the author abandoned a very nice app. I have used EveryMac too.

Well, I just installed Mactracker on my iPhone 11, and when I select "This Device", it displays "Device Not Found". So you are probably correct Lisa.

I just checked and both the Mac App Store and developer version is 7.8.2 and has not been updated in 6 months. So it appears that Lisa is correct. I will likely depend more on EveryMac from now on.

I just checked my version and it looks like you're right Charlie. I could hav sworn I downloaded an update for the App Store version a few weeks ago.

Good catch Lisa. Obviously I hadn't noticed that.

Well it is handy and I use it a lot. Looks like I will be using EveryMac from now on. I just wondered. I would have paid to help keep the app up to date.

I agree Lisa. They do accept donations but who knows if the app will continue to be developed? I'll keep it for awhile until it gets so out of date that it will no longer be useful.

It's not the first time there has been a delay from the developer in updating his Mactracker.app, and one can't really complain considering it's been a free (donations appreciated) application:
Mactracker isn't updated anymore?

Maybe he is just taking a well-deserved break or getting an update ready. Or maybe he just gave up keeping it up-to-date.

My job has been reduced to a shelter at home situation. So this forum and the internet are helping to keep me sane! I can remember being so busy I wished for time off. The current situation is not what I had in mind - none of us do.

Stay safe!
