Just a few more suggestions to try if you haven't done so already: How to Troubleshoot Bluetooth Issues on a Mac https://www.howtogeek.com/478347/how-to-troubleshoot-bluetooth-issues-on-a-mac/#:~:text=Check%20the%20Pairing%20Status,then%20click%20System%20Preferences%20%3E%20Bluetooth. And a few more hits here to go through and double check: https://www.google.com/search?q=Mac+Bluetooth+diagnosis&oq=Mac+Bluetooth+diagnosis&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i64l3.15481j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 It seems so close yet so far away from working properly, super frustrating and annoying for you... PS: have you tried performing the appropriate SMC resets for your Mac and restarting and trying the Bluetooth setup again. I tend to be a bit like a dog with a bone when such annoying known working situations arise. Geez, it took me over 3 months to get my old Logitech M705 wireless mouse customized and working properly after an attempted upgrade failed and also wiped out most of my backups. Anyway, it's now finally working as I want and that was with using a USB dongle and not a fussy Bluetooth connection. Good luck and give it another try again. Maybe some of that good Welsh whiskey would help. - Patrick =======
