MacMail question

I have just bought an iMac4 running Sequoia. It replaces my old iMac27" and I have been muddling through all the changes with reasonable success. My query with Mail is, why is there no Junk or Spam folder now? Also, if I delete a post, where does it go? The folder marked bin is empty. Thank you.

Make sure the junk mail filter is on.
Choose Mail menu --> Settings, click Junk Mail,
then verify “Enable junk mail filtering” is selected.

Also, choose Mail menu --> Settings, then click Junk Mail.
Specify what Mail should do when junk mail arrives.
Select “Move it to the Junk mailbox.”

You will see your Junk for each account along with the totals at the bottom of the sidebar. See below;


When you select On My Mac > Junk you should see, as above, each account listed along with the number of messages. Click on the little > at the right of the account it should then display mailboxes for that account, one will be Junk.

You can click on the (+) next to "Favorites" and add any "All" Mailbox listed.

Is your e-mail on your computer, or on the Cloud? I see two Trash folders. One is empty all the time.
