MacMail + Gmail problem

Hi,
I'm having a problem sending emails using my mac mail on my gmail account. Is anyone experiencing any problems, the mail isnt getting sent and a SMTP error comes up. I havent changed any of my account settings. I can get mail fine just not send it.

Are you saying it was working and then it stopped?

Have you changed locations? Sometimes different ISPs won't allow you to send email on default ports, so make sure your outgoing server (SMTP) is set to port 487.
