So, my macbook got stepped on and the screen cracked and a few keys stopped working. I sent the computer to California and had the entire screen replaced, and bought a new top case and replaced the keyboard myself. My power cord had stopped working as well, so I bought one off ebay. It was cheap and makes funny noises when you're using it, but it works. My macbook worked for about fifteen minutes, no problems... until it completely froze and I shut it down. Now when I try to start it, either the start up sound replays a million times and the screen doesn't show up, or I get an error message "panic(cpu0 caller 0x00432EA3): Unable to find driver for this platform." And it tells me I need to restart my computer. I've tried booting it in safe mode, but it doesn't work. Pleeease help!

Based on what you've described I might suspect that when it was stepped on you got more damage to it than just the screen and keyboard. If you put enough pressure on it to cause that much damage I wouldn't be surprised if there was some damaged done to other things inside... possibly the motherboard was cracked a bit. If it were a small crack it might not show up instantly and might only become apparent when enough heat was generated to cause expansion...

Frankly I think you might have been better off getting a new or used mac instead of putting money into a screen and keyboard.
